Description

THIS COURSE IS NOT APPROVED BY THE CALIFORNIA ACUPUNCTURE BOARD

The wheat we eat today has been bio-engineered to contain nearly 90% more gluten than the type our grandparents ate. Far beyond bread, pasta, and cereals, gluten is in everything from soups to ice cream. Health issues such as, digestive disorders, dermatitis, psoriasis, diabetes, MS, arthritis, osteoporosis and chronic fatigue syndrome have been linked to gluten intolerance.

The Gluten Free diet has been useful for patients with headaches, weight management issues, and for peak brain and athletic performance. We will learn the prevalence of gluten intolerance, and discuss wheat allergy and Celiac disease.

We will discuss food allergy from the perspective of Chinese and Western medicine, and review testing for wheat allergy, gluten intolerance, and celiac disease.

We will discuss information about implementing gluten free diet, Paleo diet, Specific Carbohydrate Diet popularized by Elaine Gottschall, and the Digestive Clearing Program will be presented. Ancient and modern formulas as well as nutritional supplements that heal the intestines, mitigate the allergic response, and counter cravings will be presented. You will learn everything you need to help your clients with gluten intolerance. Finally, we will learn how to make this an important tool in your practice.
