Dr. Guptha is passionate about advancing education, securing regulation and facilitating the complementary and alternative professions at large toward more global recognition. Her professional career spans more than 20 years and has encompassed primary care, academic appointments through teaching at the University of Bridgeport College of Naturopathic Medicine, the National University of Health Sciences and spans a range of Colleges and profession. She currently teaches hybrid and online class to health professions at Desales University as well as a range of continued education classes in manual therapy, mind-body medicine, ethics and business development.
As an administrator she has presided as Director of Education, Dean of Academic Affairs and Campus President, managed multi-disciplinary education departments in healthcare, business and technology. As an independent self regulator/evaluator, she served as an accreditation evaluator for degree programs volunteers her time on various Boards to advance standards in Education. Dr. Leena believes in interactive student focused education to create and promote ambassadors that will transform the landscape of Integrative Healthcare.
Dr. Guptha’s personal mission which stemmed from childhood has been to facilitate the integration of complementary alternative therapies into primary healthcare settings. As a child she experienced Naturopathic Medicine, Traditional Osteopathic Medicine, Acupuncture and Oriental Herbs, Hypnotherapy and various forms of massage therapy and bodywork and more ….driven by a need to improve her mothers’ quality of life and prognosis of passing by 40 – who passed away 70 years young as a result of combining the best of all worlds of medicine and healing.
Dr. Leena is a Graduate of Duke University, the British College of Osteopathic Medicine, 20 years ago she completed a Masters in Complementary Therapy from the University of Westminster, she is Board Certified in Hypnotherapy and was honored Valedictorian from her Masters’ in Business Administration program as well as an induction into the Massage Therapy Hall of Fame in 2015 for building bridges and advancing the profession. She maintains a practice a holistic mind-body practice at Greater Lehigh Family Medicine in Bethlehem PA and celebrates her 25 year in practice later this year.
