Course Description

The patient-practitioner relationship and clinical boundaries directly affect the patient’s care. Healthcare providers and specifically Chinese medicine practitioners cross certain boundaries as part of diagnosing and treatment. Learn the difference between a crossing and a violation and how to establish and maintain professional boundaries. Topics covered include self disclosure, giving and receiving gifts, dual relationships, physical contact and professional misconduct.
